Taco Bell rolled out its new breakfast menu March 27.  This new menu includes 15 new items such as breakfast burritos, waffle tacos, and A.M. crunch wraps.  Many students at South Lakes are excited about this new breakfast menu because there is a Taco Bell only 5 minutes away from the school.

“I had a crunch wrap, waffle taco, and a breakfast burrito,” junior Ryan McLain said.  “It was the best food I’ve ever had in my life.”

Some students like junior Simran Dhungel who do not usually eat taco bell tried the new breakfast out of curiosity.

“I only wanted to try one breakfast burrito to see how it tasted,” Dhungel said.  “It looks disgusting but tastes average.”

Taco Bell hyped this event with multiple commercials, tweets, and ads on the internet.  It will serve breakfast from 7 to 11 a.m. and then switch directly to its usual lunch menu.

Students like junior Kyra Stosch complained about stomach aches after eating the breakfast.

“I had the waffle taco which I really like,” Stosch said. “My stomach did hurt like all day afterwards.”

Taco Bell hopes to compete with other fast food restaurants that serve breakfast like McDonald’s and Burger King.
