“It’s been really great to see my teammates work hard everyday and the progress we have made over the season to be able to earn this title two years in a row. I am very thankful I have had the opportunity to be on a team with these girls, they push me to work harder and do my best every single day.” -Senior Olivia Liddle

“Watching our team progress over the past three years has been amazing. The feeling of being South Lakes’ first district champions for cheerleading is something I will carry with me for the rest of my life, the accomplishment of being a part of the very first squad to make it to states is something extraordinary and I couldn’t ask for a better end to my senior year.” -Senior Kiersten Aurentz

“I think that the base of our success this past season is definitely passion for what we do and for our school. However our coaches pushing us beyond our limits and the faith that they put in us is something I will forever be grateful for. They’ve taken such a big part in shaping me as an athlete and as a person.” -Freshmen SJ Brown

“The cheer team had a very successful season.  The team repeated as the liberty conference champs and then went on to place 3rd in the region.  For the first time in school history they qualified to the state competition.  The team handled themselves like pros and went on and finished 7th in the state!  It was a total team effort all season long.  Way to go Seahawks!!”  -Varsity Coach Becky Slaight
