IBMYP fair sparks imagination

Each year, sophomores create their own personal project for the IBMYP program. Many students decide to work outside the box and create unique projects.

Caroline Toth’s interest in personality theories led her to decide to create an informative website based on a personality quiz and personality theories in general.

“When they announced the IBMYP project, I immediately decided I would create a website to compile all of the information I can about personality for people to easily access,” Toth said.

For months, Toth researched and learned about the theory then recited the information on her website for easier access.

“It came out 100 percent how I wanted it to,” Toth said. “I have also gotten a bit of feedback that it is a very comprehensible website and informs readers quite a bit.”

Despite its success with individuals, Toth has made the decision to keep it off the internet for those online to view.

“I am happy with how it looks and everything, but it costs money to put it on the internet so I do not think I will be doing that,” Toth said.

Another sophomore who has created a unique project of her own is Lina Snyder Romero. Romero decided to compile her own poems and drawings.

“It is what I do best so I figured I might as well try to express myself through it,” Romero said.

Romero used the process as an opportunity to find out more about herself through writing.

“I had to write more and find out more stuff about myself,” Romero said. “Plus, it is going to take some guts to share it.”

Romero has already entered numerous poems she has written to the Literary Magazine.
