In the following months the Parent Teacher Student Association will sponsor multiple college preparation courses, seminars, and mock standardized tests for those looking at post-secondary school options.

Mock SAT and ACT tests will be offered on Sept. 29, October 20 and Nov. 10 with feedback sessions held on Oct. 3, Oct. 25, and Nov. 16 respectively.

The feedback sessions include score reviews by tutors and advice on areas which need improvement. The standardized test practices will be held at South Lakes from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

To sign up, visit www.applerouth.com/signup.  If you have any questions, email the PTSA at MockTests@southlakesptsa.org.

An Everything College seminar is scheduled for Oct. 16 in the Little Theatre at 7 p.m., where a presentation by the Applerouth president will outline the the college application process and its evolution evolved over the years. It will go in depth about standardized tests, essays, recommendations, and other aspects of the application that colleges examine. Parents are recommended to attend.

Applerouth Tutoring will also offer an SAT prep class to students for $599. The class, which begins Sept. 29, includes eight Tuesday sessions that last from 5 to 8 p.m. and three Saturdays devoted to practice SAT tests. Class size is limited to 15 students and 10 percent of the proceeds will be donated to PTSA.

To register for the class, go to www.applerouth.com/signup and use event code SAT925.
