A few years ago, students paid about $20 for a parking space in the school parking lot.
Now students have to cough up $200 in order to save them a spot. It seems ridiculous to have to pay ten times more, but think about it like this: all these students who have bought themselves a parking pass have wasted money as well as gas.
If people who drive to school were to take the bus instead, they would be saving the atmosphere from unnecessary carbon dioxide emission, and spending a lot less money on gas for their own car, along with the money for a parking spot.
Another good option, next to taking the bus, is carpooling. This way everyone will get something out of it.
By taking a couple people along for the ride, you can save yourself money. Splitting the cost of the pass and the gas is beneficial to everyone.
Instead of complaining the high prices, you can use this as an incentive to take the bus or carpool. Lately people have become more aware of conserving energy and saving the environment. Why not do one simple thing that will save you plenty of gas and dough?
