Junior Megan Fontenot is an aspiring actress who hopes to make it big with Disney.
When did you start theater?
I have been doing theater for as long as I can remember. I took parts in shows since middle school and I have been doing shows outside of school and taking classes. I’ve been doing theater here at South Lakes since I was a freshman. I have taken part in every main stage show we’ve done as well as one acts.
What are one acts?
They are short little shows. We do one acts for Halloween and we do one acts that directed by students directed. Right now I am actually directing a one act at South Lakes.
How busy is your schedule?
Right now I have a job during the off season of theater. We just finished “The Great Gatsby” which took up quite a bit of time. I was almost in rehearsal the whole time. As of now I am taking my academy class, musical theater and actor studio. It’s basically a more specialize course which takes up Seahawk seminar and three other blocks. I take the bus to Fairfax County High School and I take a professional acting class which is really good for what I want to do with my life which is want to be an actress
What inspired you?
It’s something I think I am good at and I am confident in doing. It’s always made me happy and I have always been comfortable acting.
What is your dream job?
The big dream is to make it. My dream job would be a face character at one of the Disney parks. I would want to be Belle, Rapunzel, or Marry Poppins. I would love to see the looks on the kid’s faces when they see their favorite Disney characters. When they see Belle or Rapunzel, their facial expression should be so rewarding.
