With Christmas just around the corner, there are probably many people out there who are looking for cheap, easy to make Christmas gifts to give out. Here are ten awesome ideas that won’t take much time or money.

Idea #1: Baked goods – Bake a few sweets in bulk and put together a delicious bag of holiday-themed treats for your loved ones. You could bake brownies with a hint of peppermint for one, and there are a plethora of classic Christmas cookies that almost everyone will adore.

Idea #2: Personalized mugs – Buy a selection of plain, white mugs and some felt-tipped markers. Write the name of the person you want to gift it to on the mug and decorate it as creatively as you please. If you’re more artistically inclined, this option is geared more towards you.

Idea #3: Hand-made soaps or lotions – This is a more personal alternative to just buying a gift basket of scented goodies, and on top of that, it could be fun to make. You can mix and match a variety of scents and shapes for each soap and lotion and appeal to everyone you’re gifting.

Idea #4: Collage of meaningful pictures – Depending on how long you’ve known a person, you can find a variety of pictures depicting memories you’ve had with them. Be as creative as you want with the layout and how you display it; you can add captions or fun graphics to throw in some holiday cheer.

Idea #5: Collection of favorite recipes (holiday-themed or otherwise) – You can type them up, organize them on a binder ring and attach them to a brightly colored spatula for a cheery look. These are great gifts for friends or family members.

Idea #6: Classic coupons – By this point, they may be overdone and a bit cliche, but they can be meaningful gifts nonetheless if you put thought and effort into them. The only caveat is to stay away from the more basic ideas like “free hug”.

Idea #7: Add your own personal touch to something boring (like a journal, for example) – Glue on some pictures, put on some fake rhinestones, add a different color of fabric over the original; the sky’s the limit.

Idea #8: Handmade candles – Seeing as it’s getting colder, everyone you want to give a gift to is far more likely to be looking for a candle, and they’ll enjoy one that you made yourself even more.

Idea #9: Custom ornament – This can be done in a variety of ways, from using extra Scrabble letters to looking up a simple DIY on YouTube. The possibilities for this are endless.

Idea #10: Gift basket – If they like reading, throw in a bookmark. If they enjoy listening to music, add a pair of colorful earbuds. You can put anything in from any price range; all that matters is that this is a gift catered specifically to them.

All of these ideas are easy enough to pull off for most, so hopefully, you found a few more options that you’d enjoy making. Even if you don’t end up using any of these ideas, the important thing is that you put thought and effort into your gifts. No one will care about how much money you spent if you gift shows that you care about them.
