It’s been nearly four years since legendary wide receiver for the Broncos, Demaryius Thomas, has passed away, on October 19th 2025 he was inducted into the Broncos Ring of Fame. The Bronco Ring of Fame is known for where the most special players in Broncos history can be remembered. Some famous members are players Peyton Manning, John Elway, Terrel Davis, Shannon Sharpe, Champ Bailey and now Demaryius Thomas.
Thomas was chosen by the Denver Broncos as the 22nd overall pick in the 2010 NFL draft. Thomas showed flashes of talent in his two first years of being a Bronco but the other six were unbelievable. From 2012 to 2018 Thomas put up over fifty touchdowns, over six thousand yards and over six hundred receptions. Nonetheless, proving that he was one of the best wide receivers in the 2010’s era.
Then in the 2016 season, Thomas would cement his name into the history books by leading his team into Super Bowl 50 against the Carolina Panthers and winning it 24-10. Thomas finally got the ring he deserved after his monstrous performance in Super Bowl 48 but coming up short of the victory. At the end of the day Thomas will always have a soft spot in NFL fans hearts by making notable plays such as his 80 yard game winning touchdown in 2011 against the Pittsburgh Steelers or his one handed catch against the chiefs for a touchdown.
Despite Thomas no longer being with us, he is still being represented by current Broncos wide receiver Courtland Sutton. Thomas was Sutton’s inspiration and in a recent interview Sutton said that, “DT means the world to me and I have been waiting for this day of him getting his recognition from this organization because of all the things he has done for this Broncos organization, he loved Denver, he loved Broncos country and he loved being able to call this place home.” This really shows not only the impact Demaryius left on the Broncos but for the sport of football itself.
