Miami Dolphins star wide receiver, Tyreek Hill, suffered a serious knee injury during a recent game against the New York Jets.
The injury happened when Hill landed awkwardly out of bounds after making a catch. His knee was bent and you could see him clutching it while down. He was carted off the field and taken to the locker room. It was later confirmed that he had dislocated his left knee and torn several ligaments, including his ACL. This type of injury usually requires surgery and a long recovery period.
The Dolphins later announced that Hill’s season is officially over. Since he tore his ACL, he had to undergo surgery in order to repair the ligament. He later shared on social media that the surgery went well and that doctors are hopeful he’ll make a full recovery before the start of the 2026 NFL season. Still, this remains a huge setback for both Hill and the Dolphins.
Hill has been one of the fastest and most exciting players in the league, best known for his speed and agility. Losing him means the Dolphins will have to adjust their offense and rely more on their other receivers to step up.
Fans across the NFL were quick to send support and prayers to Hill through social media. However, many think that due to his age and the severity of the injury that he might not be able to comeback as the player he once was. While injuries are a part of football, it’s always hard to see such a dominant player go down like this. As of right now, Hill’s focus will be on resting and rehabbing. The Dolphins and their fans will definitely be awaiting his return and hoping the “Cheetah” can run wild again next year.
