Are you looking for pretty flowers that never die? Meet Bouquets by Jeni! Jennifer Zuniga-Maldonado, a creative student at South Lakes, hand makes beautiful fake flower bouquets that last forever. They are perfect for gifts, home decor, or just to brighten a loved one’s day.
Zuniga has always loved flowers but she wanted something that would not wilt as quickly. “Real flowers die too fast,” she said. She began making her own bouquets with fake flowers from craft stores, now she runs her own small business.
Every bouquet is made by hand. Zuniga provides an array of different flower options to her customers like roses, daisies, and plumerias and arranges them carefully. She also sells single flowers if requested.
“The roses take the most time because they are so detailed and have lots of petals,” she explained.
Getting a bouquet is very easy, just message her on Instagram (@jeni.bouquets) then tell her what you want regarding colors and flowers and when the bouquet is needed. Once everything is finalized, customers can pick up the bouquet or even get it delivered.
Zuniga specifically chose to make fake flowers because they last forever. They are also great as gifts for birthdays, anniversaries, mothers day, or just because.
As a junior in high school, Zuniga is at a critical point in her academic career while she is also juggling managing a small business. She balances school and her business by blocking time in her schedule after school for time for homework and hand making her bouquets.
“It’s busy, but fun!” she said. Her advice to others with similar passions as hers is to “just start small and try it!” Jennifer hopes for her business to thrive and to make even more bouquets in the future.
