Niki’s Guide: Form habits over the summer

Summer is in full swing for students. As many people take vacations and attend parties there are those who dedicate themselves to achieving goals and making athletic or academic improvements.

These students deserve applause for their efforts. Habits do not form over night. It takes time and effort to turn something into a habit.

Using this summer to create healthy habits would benefit students greatly. The habit can be as simple as tidying up the bedroom every morning or as rigorous as workout out for an hour every day. Turn reading everyday into a ritual and make studying your go-to activity.

Nobody wants to lose all the effort they put into becoming a student, but school is the last thing students want to think about over the summer break.

Even if there is a desire to put off summer assignments until last minute, make sure something is being done to keep the mind focused on sticking to habits.
