Niki’s Guide: join a club

Students completed the first week of school and made it out alive. Now comes the time for them to narrow their eyes on the school year and get focused.

For those not involved in afterschool activities, now is the time to start looking. Clubs exist to give students with common hobbies or goals time to work with something they like doing. There is a club, sport, or activity for everyone.

In all seriousness, the best way to make friends is to have shared activities with peers. Making those friends and joining a club or sport will allow those who hate going to school in the morning a new outlook on their day.

Lastly, colleges like to see students active in their school and community. Joining a club and remaining involved with it is the best way to show college commitment, involvement, and any awards that club or sport can reward.
