You either want to play softball or not; it is that simple.

It takes hard work and dedication in order to succeed in softball.

You should play only play softball if you truly want to. If you play softball but not for the right reasons, you will start to make excuses.

Whether you fake an injury to get out of practice or miss any practice for inexcusable reasons, you are hurting your team.

Showing up to practice and giving it your all demonstrates your commitment to your team.

Not wanting to play softball is fine but hurting your teammates is not.

You need to stay true to yourself but you also need to keep in mind that you are not the only one on a team. Instead of making excuses, figure out what you want to do. If it means stopping then stop playing. Go find out what you enjoy the most so you can make both yourself and your teammates happy.

Ever since she started softball at the age of seven, due to her older brother having started baseball way before that, the field has always been like a second home to her. One of her biggest dreams is to be an author and she is hoping on self-publishing a book during this school year. She is hoping to major in communications so she can become a Public Relations Specialist for a company that has a product or message that she is passionate about. Her hope is to keep up softball in college. No matter where she goes to college or where she lives in the future, she always wants to have time to write.
