Do not make excuses

You either want to play softball or not; it is that simple.

It takes hard work and dedication in order to succeed in softball.

You should play only play softball if you truly want to. If you play softball but not for the right reasons, you will start to make excuses.

Whether you fake an injury to get out of practice or miss any practice for inexcusable reasons, you are hurting your team.

Showing up to practice and giving it your all demonstrates your commitment to your team.

Not wanting to play softball is fine but hurting your teammates is not.

You need to stay true to yourself but you also need to keep in mind that you are not the only one on a team. Instead of making excuses, figure out what you want to do. If it means stopping then stop playing. Go find out what you enjoy the most so you can make both yourself and your teammates happy.
