Apple has been rumored to enter the car market soon, which will be challenging Tesla in the electric automobile industry. Apple has allegedly been working on their project since 2014, and will be completed in 2024. The autonomous vehicle will have an electric battery and will be charged by electric car charging stations. Tim Cook, the CEO of Apple, has hinted before in the past about Project Titan and it may be likely that the rumors are true.

Apple had a reported partnership with Kia, BMW, and Hyundai. The companies have confirmed that they have communicated with each other, however, they are currently on silent terms. Apple has hired former Tesla engineers in order to assist with Project Titan. “It’s pretty hard to hide something if you hire over a thousand engineers to do it.” Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla said.

Recently, 11,704 Tesla cars have been recalled, due to errors with the autopilot technology. The software was prone to unexpected activations of the automatic emergency brake systems and false-forward collisions. Tesla’s autopilot technology is still in beta and they were not aware until recently that possible crashes could occur. NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration) is dedicated to the safety of the drivers, thus demanding the recall of the Model S, Model X, Model Y, and the Model 3.

It is predicted that by 2024, Apple will enter into the car market. There has not been enough information about Project Titan released by Apple. If Project Titan is a success, then it will revolutionize the automobile industry.
