On December 10th, The Washington Wizards revealed their 2020-21 City Edition uniforms. Russell Westbrook, who was just traded to the Wizards from the Houston Rockets. Bradely Beal, who has spent his entire career in Washington, also participated in a photoshoot donning the jerseys. This new line marks the first time the Wizards will take the court in silver jerseys.

This is the first time in Wizards history that their jerseys will be including the color silver. They also have a new tagline which is “DC Above All”, which is replacing the old one, “Rep The District.” They also have red stripes on the sides of the jersey and the Nike logo on the top right side.

The reason for the new design was to give fans a throwback feeling that the jerseys had a few years back. Fans seemed to like that design since it had the signature logo on the front with the silver color but it was more of an eye popping silver while the new color is kind of dark. It is meant to honor the city.

The Wizards partnered with HZ, a uniform design company based in Maryland. They helped the Wizards continue their legacy of honoring former player Wes Unseld by putting the number 41 on the shoulder of the jersey’s. They honor him after just passed away on June, 2nd 2020. Unseld is an NBA Hall of Famer.

These jerseys are on sale for fans to purchase at shop.monumentalnetwork.com.
