Wolf Trap’s summer line up 2020
Summer is the season of outdoor fun, pleasant weather, and most of all- it’s the season of concerts. At Wolf Trap this summer, there’s something for everyone: musical theater, orchestras, and 80’s pop. Look no further than Vienna, Virginia for summer entertainment! Here are a few highlights from the shows that have been announced so far;
June 3: Celtic Woman
June 5-6: Beautiful: The Carole King Musical
June 12-13: The SpongeBob Musical
June 16: ALICE (in wonderland): The Hong Kong Ballet
July 10-11: Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince™ in Concert: National Symphony Orchestra
July 14: Straight No Chaser
July 17: Star Spangled Symphony: National Symphony Orchestra
July 31: The Princess Bride in Concert: National Symphony Orchestra
Aug. 9: ABBA The Concert
Sept. 6, 18th: The Australian Pink Floyd Show
All of these are wonderful options for a night out with friends or family. Personally, having attended the ABBA show, it was one of the best concerts I had attended in my life. Standing outside subjected us to mosquitos and humidity, but armed with bug spray, my friends and I managed to look past it, and have a full night of enjoying the tribute to the Swedish band. The Wolf Trap website has all the information one would need to buy tickets, and get an early spot in the grab for seats! As these are just the highlights, I highly recommend checking out their site for the full list. Concerts are a summer highlight every kid should get to enjoy, especially when they’re practically in our backyard.
