The Virginia Sports Information Directors is comprised of the athletics communications professionals at all colleges and universities within the Commonwealth. Each year VaSID recognize an outstanding graduating Virginia high school senior with a $1,000 scholarship. The student should have demonstrated success in the field of sports journalism, media or communication with an intention to study a related field in college. Please note that journalism students with no significant sports background will not receive strong consideration.

Complete submissions must include the attached application form, a one-page statement by the student, one sports journalism work sample and a letter of recommendation (as outlined in the application form).
