Four Fall Fun Festivals

October has just begun, and it’s time to get into the festive fall feeling! With Fairfax County and its surrounding areas, there’s bound to be a multitude of different fun activities for fall. Here are some fun festivals to enjoy with friends and family!

Cox Farms Festival

This festival might just be the most popular one in Northern Virginia. They are known for their Fields of Fear events and world famous hayride. With over 90 acres, they have huge slides, fun hayrides, rope swings, farm animals, and a cornfield adventure. There are kiddie zones as well as local apples, fresh cider, food, entertainment and imaginature trails.

Here is the link to the Cox Farms website. This festival goes from 10:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. on September 23, 2023 — November 7, 2023. The address is 15621 Braddock Road, Centreville, VA 20120. Cox Farms Festival’s Admission: $10.00-$25.00. 

 

Fall Fest at Reston Farm Garden Market

This festival provides many different activities such as inflatables, corn mazes, slides, pumpkin bounce houses, a basketball game, and a fun petting zoo. There is also an express train for children and live music for entertainment. The garden portion of the market includes seasonal items like flowers, fresh produce, natural jams, local organic honey, farm-fresh products, pumpkins, seasonal decor, their famous Apple Cider Donuts, and local food trucks are present throughout the whole weekend. To enjoy this festival, make sure to purchase tickets online, which is required to be allowed inside.

This is the link to the website of the Fall Fest at Reston Farm Garden Market. This festival goes from 10am to 6pm every weekend from September 30, 2023 to October 29, 2023. The address is 10800 Baron Cameron Ave, Reston, VA 20190. Admission ranges from $5.00- $20.00.

City of Fairfax Fall Festival

In the heart of the City of Fairfax, is their annual fall festival where artisans display their arts and crafts. There are also food vendors, children activities, and music and entertainment for all ages. From 5:30-8:00 P.M, this fall festival will have their After Fest concert in Old Town Square.

 

Here is the link to the City of Fairfax Fall Festival website. The festival is exclusively on October 14th, 2023 from 10:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. Admission is free, although amusement rides and children’s activities may require fees. The festival takes place at 10415 North Street, Fairfax, VA 22030.

Centreville Day Festival

This festival is on another level with the amount of activities. There is a parade at 11:00 A.M., participants are encouraged to enter their pets in the Rotary Cavalcade of Pets at 2:00 P.M, and people are allowed to dance and sing along with skilled entertainers. Adults can shop in the marketplace while their children can wear their costumes to trick or treat.

 

This is the link to the Centreville Day Festival website which also takes place on October 14th, 2023. This event goes from 10:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. on 5714 Mt Gilead Road Centreville, VA 20120. The admission featured for entertainment has amusing rides free for children!

 

These are some of the many fun activities in Northern Virginia. There are countless things to do with friends and family. It is best to make the most of the chilling air with these fun festivals.
