Celebrities are known to name their kids unusual names like Apple, Blue Ivy, or North West. Many people around the world have wondered why celebrities feel the need to have uncommon baby names. A Beverly Hills psychologist, Jenn Berman suggests that celebrities chose to name their kids unique names because they believe they are different or special so therefore their kids are different or special. According to the New York Times, famous people feel that having their kids called unusual names is a sense of their individualism, creative expression, and freedom.
The popstar Justin Bieber, and his supermodel wife Hailey Bieber, just welcomed their first child into the world. They announced that their son’s name is Jack Blues Bieber on the social media platform Instagram. Many people had a lot to say about their baby name choice.
“I really like the name Jack because it’s simple compared to other celebrities, but the middle name is a little strange,” Junior Emma Petinaux said.
“It’s shocking – they decided to have the baby’s initials be the same as his fathers initials,” Junior Sam Janow said.
The baby’s middle name, Blues, leads people to believe that it has something to do with Bieber’s musical career.
“I really like how the middle name initial and the last name initial are the same because it fits together nicely. I also like how the middle name is Blues like music and that matches because the baby’s father is a singer,” Junior Jamie Banton said.
Overall, people were very supportive of the couple’s name decision.
“The name is very cute! The middle name makes the baby unique with the pretty common first name,” Junior Simone Duarte said.
“I love the name because Jack is normal but Blues is different. Blues is a type of music genre and has a subtle ounce of creativity to its name. I also love how the baby and his father have the same initials,” Junior Tabitha Erazo said.
There are many opinions flying around Bieber’s first child’s name online, but the reaction at South Lakes has been largely positive. The Biebers included an ounce of individualism and creativity in their child’s name but also had the name be somewhat normal compared to other celebrities’ babies’ names. There are many theories about why celebrities choose unusual names for their kids but out of all the issues in the celebrity industry, this problem seems to be a baby-sized issue.
