Theatre reflects on school year, bids farewell to seniors

The theatre arts department created a video montage of its 2013-2014 season.

Drama put on many performances this year, including Halloween Fright Night, Leading Ladies, Jason Linnett Hypnotist Show, VHSL One Act Play Competition, One Act Play Festival, Derek Jasper Magic Show, Legally Blonde, the inaugural South Lakes Film Festival, senior shows, and a Friday Night Live cabaret show.

The video includes highlights from the department’s performances and honors the graduating theatre seniors.

Grace, a senior IB Diploma candidate and news junkie, is in her fourth year of journalism at South Lakes. She served as a staff writer her freshman year, was the news editor her sophomore year, and held the position of student life editor her junior year. Grace is a member of the Quill and Scroll Honor Society and is on the National Scholastic Press Association Journalism Honor Roll. Over the years she has attended many journalism conventions, including ones hosted by the National Scholastic Press Association/Journalism Education Association and the Columbia Scholastic Press Association,  as well as the Broadcast Journalism Institute at Georgetown University over the summer. She enjoys debating, both on the speech and debate team and in informal settings. In her free time, she plays travel soccer, spends time with her friends and family, reads, watches Jon Stewart, listens to music, and travels.
