Mitt Romney will speak at the Hyatt Regency in the Reston Town Center on Feb. 10. Registration for the event begins at 7 a.m. and the program starts at 7:45 a.m.
The former governor of Massachusetts and 2012 GOP Presidential candidate will discuss the importance of technology and innovation and their roles in the 2012 Presidential election. He will also explain his plan for preparing America for the 21st Century in regards to jobs and economic growth.
Romney won the New Hampshire primary. He was originally declared the winner of the Iowa Caucus, however a recount determined that Rick Santorum had prevailed in the contest. On Saturday, Jan. 21, he lost to Newt Gingrich in the South Carolina primary.
Romney will speak as part of the Presidential Series, a sequence of breakfasts where presidential candidates are invited to speak. The series kicked off in early November when former 2012 GOP candidate Herman Cain spoke at the hotel. Other candidates including President Barack Obama have been invited to talk in other breakfasts as a continuation of the series.
The series is sponsored by the Northern Virginia Technology Council, the largest technology council in the nation, and the Consumers Electronics Association.
In order to participate in the breakfast’s events, one must pay a fee. If paying in advance, members of the NVTC must pay $75.00 while non-members are required to pay $105.00. Walk-ins are allowed if space is still available on Feb. 10. Members and non-members must pay $95.00 and $105.00 respectively.
