Kayla Viau is a junior that has been around three different parents that were part of the Air Force which has sparked her own personal interest.
Viau is planning on joining the Air Force right out of high school.
“Personally I’m not ready for college and when I’m ready for the Air Force can pay for that and I can even go to the Air Force Academy. It is also a great opportunity to see the world.”
She comes from a long line of military personnel. Her mother, father, and step father were all part of the Air Force. Her mother has been a part of the Air Force for 20 years, her father for 17 years, and her step father has been retired for 20 years.
Even though her family has been in the Air Force since she was born, Viau has only been interested in joining the Air Force for about a year.
Some obligations she needs to complete before being ready to join are retaking the ASVAB test which is a test designed to predict future academic and occupational success in the military, she also needs to eat right and prepare her body for the stress of boot camp.
Along with these tasks she needs to meet with a recruiter so that she can get the delayed recruitment and get her military career started.
