Answer: Junior Allie Stamey.
Junior Allie Stamey recently traded in her Oakton cougar paws for seahawk talons.
Stamey, who is districted for South Lakes, decided to leave Oakton because IB classes appealed to her.
“I came here because I was in AP Japanese at Oakton and I wanted to take the next level, but Oakton didn’t offer anything higher,” Stamey said.
Her transition has gone smoothly thus far, and she believes her friends are partially responsible for this.
“I know a lot of people from Carson, and my friends have helped me to meet new friends as well,” Stamey said.
She believes that transferring schools was the right decision.
“I think that South Lakes is a lot better than Oakton,” Stamey said. “Everyone here is really nice, and I just love it.”
