Model, Heidi Klum, is known as the queen of Halloween with her crazy costumes. For more than 20 years, Klum has hosted her own New York City Halloween party where she surprises the world with her costume of the year.
In 2011, Klum showed up to her celebration as a dead body, showing every muscle and tendon in the human body. This suit was hand painted and she slicked back her hair to have it painted all over her face.
In 2016, Kulm did not have to get ready for her Halloween celebration because she went dressed as herself. She went with an entourage of five clones, wearing matching outfits and makeup. For a dramatic reveal, Klum decided to emerge from a wooden crate to show the “real” Klum.
In 2017, she promised ahead of time that her Halloween costume would be scary. She arrived at her annual Halloween Party at Moxy Times Square wearing her version of the werewolf from Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” music video in 1983. She even encouraged her entourage to dress as zombies to match the theme. This costume took Klum six hours to get ready prior to the party.
In 2018, the couple dressed up as popular Dreamworks’ characters Shrek and Fiona from the Shrek movie. The costume was designed by artist Mike Marino who created prosthetic pieces that weighed 15 to 20 pounds. They were both covered in green body makeup and wore wigs.
In 2022, Klum dressed up as a worm in a prosthetic suit which took ten hours to build around her. Her husband, Tom Kaulitz, dressed up as a scary fisherman to match with her. Her costume was horrifyingly realistic and included a curved head, long tail, and ridges all over her body. She fully committed to the role by lying on the ground and wiggling. Later in the night, she shed the outer layers revealing a form-fitting body suit underneath.
This year, Klum decided to be Medusa, a mythological monster who could turn people to stone with one glance. She had a hand painted reptilian body suit crowned with a huge head piece of moving animatronic snakes. She also wore flashy fangs and had a long tail behind her. Her husband committed to the theme as well by dressing as an unlucky Greek soldier turned into stone. Klum consistently inspires many Halloween costumes and keeps the tradition of going all out on Halloween night. Will you go out like Klum next year?
