The third season of Euphoria is set to release in April of 2026. Fans have been waiting for this moment since the finale of season two, which aired in February of 2022. Luckily, the wait will come to an end and soon fans will get to see the chaos, drama, and insanity cycle of the main characters end, but not without being introduced to some new people.
With the next season of Euphoria releasing in April, tensions are rising, and people all around the world will tune in to see the star of the show, Rue, played by Zendaya, navigate the emotional and physical roller coaster of her wild life. After waiting no less than four years, viewers will get to see their favorite characters back on their screens, along with new characters being played by Trisha Paytas, Natasha Lyonne, and Rosalia.
In October of this year, HBO revealed internet star Trisha Paytas will be joining the cast of Euphoria. With years and years of deep internet lore and comedy, Paytas has grown into a star, and is now shining. Paytas had jokingly poked at the fact that they may have a role in Euphoria prior to the announcement on their podcast called “Just Trish.” Apparently, Paytas had sent in a self audition tape in 2021, and had been considered for a guest character as a plus-size influencer, but never heard back. But now they have. When HBO shared the news, Paytas posted a blushing emoji on their Instagram grid.
Star of “Russian Doll,” Natasha Lyonne will be joining Euphoria season three as well. Lyonne’s character in Euphoria is discreet to say the least. Fans have been dying to know who she will play and what her character will entail, but no one knows yet. Though keeping it under wraps, Lyonne has been greatly enthusiastic about the role as a guest on Josh Horowitz’s podcast, “Happy Sad Confused.” Lyonne teased with her excitement of the role by saying, “Me having one role on Euphoria, [I’m] unstoppable,” and “Maybe one day I can show my Euphoria self tape. I don’t know if I can. I need to find out the logistics. Maybe once it airs”.
Finally, popular singer-songwriter Rosalia, will be hopping onto Euphoria as well. With her rise of fame in the past couple of years growing her into a global sensation, her fans are thrilled to see their favorite singer on such a well-loved show. Though booking such a popular, mainstream show, it is surprisingly her very first acting role. She said, “It’s my first job. I’m learning. I’m figuring it out. It’s been very inspiring to be with these amazing actors. It’s great.” Though her role is unknown, she has been spotted by fans with Euphoria star, Alexa Demie- or, Maddie Perez, filming in a fur coat and neck brace. A fan of the show herself, Rosalia said, “Euphoria has been my favorite series over the last few years and I couldn’t be happier and more grateful to be acting alongside all of these incredibly talented people that I admire so much and contributing my ‘granito de arena’ to bring Sam [Levinson’s] vision to reality to make magic. I can’t wait to share what we’re doing!!!” Along with her acting, she will also be contributing her duet with Billie Eilish called “Lo Vas a Olvidar,” to the soundtrack, and it will be playing in a special episode called, “Part 2: Jules.”
With these celebrities joining Euphoria, streams will skyrocket along with tensions and excitement from cast-members, as well as fans. This season will surely be as great as the last one. How do you feel about the up and coming season three?
