American singer-songwriter, Slayyyter, is set to release her third studio album, “WOR$T GIRL IN AMERICA,” this March.
Catherine Grace Garner, known more commonly as the stage name “Slayyyter,” grew up in St Louis, Missouri. She grew inspired from a variety of artists like Lady Gaga, SOPHIE, and even the Beach Boys.
One of her goals as an artist is to not feel defined by a genre and blend her upbringing of her diverse music interests together. What excites Slayyyter about working in pop music is the genre’s lack of fear to have fun.
Slayyyter has become prominent for her unique brand of electronic hyperpop and rap inspired by the Y2K aesthetic of 2000’s. Her career began under the name “Slayyyter” on SoundCloud, releasing “BFF” in 2018. Her career began to find a niche queer audience on the internet through its use of satirical lyrics.
Slayyyter gained mainstream popularity through her inclusion in internet pop culture and film. Her song “Daddy AF” appeared in films such as Bodies Bodies Bodies and Oscar winning film, Anora .
Her latest singles for her upcoming album, “WOR$T GIRL IN AMERICA,” has stunned fans online because of her electronics and dance. With the first single being “BEAT UP CHANEL$” in August of 2025, followed by “CANNIBALISM!” and “CRANK.” Her latest single “DANCE…,” released January 16, 2026 are all available on all major streaming platforms. Slayyyter has hinted that “WOR$T GIRL IN AMERICA” will be a sonic shift from her previous work featuring pop with elements of punk and rap.
