El Clasico, one of the biggest rivalries in soccer, had a crazy outcome this Sunday. Real Madrid won 2-1 against the Culers with players Mbappe, Bellingham, and Fermin Lopez all scoring in this el clasico. Mbappe missing a crucial penalty for his team, Pedri getting a red card, an all-out brawl between the two teams at the end of the match because of Barcelona’s young star, Lamine Yamal, and his comments before the game, and Vinicius Junior heated after being subbed off potentially leading to a transfer this winter, with people all around the world saying “El Clasico is back” after this game.
The game was a close and intense with the score being 2-1, and players from each side getting carded such as Dean Hujisen, Eder Militao, Federico Valverde, Vinicius Jr, Rodrygo, and Andriy Lunin who was on the bench getting a red card for the brawl with Barcelona. All of them were booked from Real Madrid. Now from Barcelona they had Ferran Torres, Fermin Lopez, Pedri with a Red, and Alejandro Balde all getting booked from Barcelona. Mbappe’s penalty saved from Wojciech Szczesny, the legend in goal, coming out of retirement last year to play with Barcelona during their historic season last year. Vinicius Junior looked like himself again after a bad season, doing all the skills he used to do, bringing the “Brazilian Flair” to Laliga again. He looked heated after being subbed off, saying things to the coaching staff and going straight to the locker room. He potentially may get in the transfer window this winter after Xabi Alonso (the Real Madrid coach) has not been putting him into the lineup as much recently.
The brawl happened after the game and was started by Lamine Yamal’s comments. Before the game he posted on Instagram a photo from last season, showing his celebration after Barcelona’s 4-0 win at the Bernabeu, and wrote that Real Madrid “rob and complain.” This obviously upset most of the players and fans at Real Madrid. After the brawl, Real Madrid Andriy Lunin was sent off with a red card and players from both sides joined the fight.
