Chelsea has just recently moved on from their previous coach, Enzo Maresca, which is a surprising move from the organization as Maresca had recently just won them a Club World Cup. They beat the previous Champions League winners, Paris-Saint-Germain, in a surprising 3-0 win. It has been said that he could have left or been sacked, but a main reason was the disagreements with the team’s medical department and the disappointment of a recent match. He may have also got fired because they got 4th place in the Premier League.

They did have some big things with Maresca, such as moving from the 12th in 22/23 season to 4th in the 24/25 season, receiving a champions league spot for the 25/26 season. They also had some big wins against teams such as Barcelona, Liverpool, and PSG. Some achievements they won were the UEFA Conference League becoming the first English Club to win all European competitions, and the Club World Cup over PSG. Under Maresca, they had some big wins, large accomplishments, and an honorable season for Chelsea. 

Moving on from Maresca, Chelsea have signed Liam Rosenior from the french team, Strasbourg, on January 6th. As the coach of Strasbourg, Rosenior brought the team from 13th in the Ligue 1 nearing a relegation battle to 7th, securing a Conference League spot.He also helped develop Andrey Santos. Santos is now considered one of their most talented prospects, who is now currently on loan to Chelsea. Rosenier is known as a modern, possession-based manager who is well at developing young players as the previous example listed. This is perfect for Chelsea as they have a really young team with the normal starting 11 being the average age of around 24. They are potentially the youngest starting 11 in Premier League history. This is why Rosenier will be a great fit for this modern Chelsea team.
