QRU? Senior wrestling captain Josh Forrest

Senior wrestling captain Josh Forrest is preparing for the winter season by working with a professional trainer and participating in an off-season program.

What kind of work have you been doing with your trainer?

He owns an academy, so there’s a group of guys who come in on Thursdays and Sundays and just train for about two hours.

How do you think your skills have improved since you started working with him?

I had a five pin season the year before I started working with him, in eighth grade, and the next year I had 23.

What are some of your plans for the off-season, working with the team as a whole, and for yourself?

We have an off-season program going on right now. We have a lifting schedule that the team does. We’re meeting at six a.m. Mondays and Fridays.

What are your hopes for the season?

For myself, place top five in the state. And for the team place in the top three at districts and send at least ten guys to regionals.
