Dance team runs Silver Diner during fundraising night

Dance team members play hostess at Silver Diner during a team fundraiser.

Dancers ran Silver Diner last night for a team fundraiser.

They took on positions hosting, running food, and bussing tables in exchange for a portion of the night’s proceeds.

“We were looking for restaurants to do a fundraiser at so one of the moms asked Silver Diner, and they said they would give us 20 percent of sales,” dance team coach Anna Headen said.

The event exceeded Haeden’s expectations.

“It went well,” Haeden said. “We set a goal of 200 dollars and we got that just from donations outside the door. They said that this is the most people they have ever had on a Monday night.”

The team plans to use the money it raised to cover competition costs.

“The money is going toward competitions,” said. “We have one Nov. 16 at Paul VI and another one Jan. 19.”
