Color wars

Students wear class colors, decorate subschools

Juniors cover history teacher Rebecca Eisenberg in yellow clothing during a dress-up relay in the cafeteria.

Students arrived on school grounds bright and early this morning to cover their subschools with their respective class colors: orange for seniors, yellow for juniors, blue for sophomores, and green for freshmen.

Streamers, banners, and miscellaneous decorations cloaked the locker pods. The adornments were judged during first period and rankings were announced at the end of the block.

Seniors won the contest, followed by juniors, then freshmen, and finally sophomores.

Faculty members got into the spirit as well by decorating their classrooms and nearby hallways.

Classes were also judged based on the number of students who wore colored clothing.

Sophomores redeemed themselves with this competition by placing first. Juniors came in second, seniors were third, and freshmen placed last.

Color wars continued during lunch with a dress-up relay. Representatives from each class raced against the clock to cover a faculty volunteer with as much colored clothing as possible.

The class warfare will come to a head tonight with powderpuff games.
