Spring sports are entering the final weeks of the regular season and are gearing up for post-season tournaments. Girls varsity soccer tied with defending district champions McLean High School 1-1 after two periods of overtime. With the tie, the team’s record is now 6-1-2.
Boys varsity soccer improved their record to 8-1 with a 2-0 shutout of McLean. Both boys and girls varsity soccer teams will face Thomas Jefferson at home tomorrow.
Boys varsity lacrosse fell to 5-5 on Tuesday after a 8-3 loss to James Madison. This is the second straight loss for the team after losing to Stone Bridge last week. Girls varsity lacrosse also lost to James Madison 17-6. With their fifth straight loss their record falls to 3-6. The girls will play Langley at home on Tuesday while the boys will travel to take on the Saxons.
Baseball defeated Thomas Jefferson 8-3 last night. The win snaps a six game losing skid and improves their record to 3-10. Softball also defeated Thomas Jefferson with a score of 5-4. The win improves the team’s record to 5-7. Both teams will play Langley Friday.
