South Lakes will host the Clubs and Activities Fair in the Main Hallway during all lunch periods on September 27.
“The Clubs and Activities Fair is an event that allows the student body to become aware of the clubs and activities offered to them as South Lakes High school students,” said assistant director of student activities Mike Astudillo.
The fair will be especially beneficial to the freshmen because it is the first opportunity to preview the more than 60 clubs and organizations offered.
“Many students are not aware of the large number and variety of clubs that they can get involved with throughout the school year,” said Astudillo. “Also, many clubs are looking for interested members to join and this event brings both interested members and representatives from clubs together.”
Returning students can look forward to new additions added this year.
“This will be the first full year of participation for the Best Buddies club, and the Interact club is starting to pick up speed again by attracting more members for its worthy community service projects,” said Astudillo.
