Daniel Noll returns to familiar hallways with a different perspective.
Noll, a geosystems and biology teacher, is also an alumnus of South Lakes, graduating in the class of 1985. Noll played football and was on the wrestling team.
Noll teaches in the special education program. His daughter Casey is currently a sophomore at South Lakes.
Attending East Carolina University, New Mexico University, George Mason University, and Old Dominion University, Noll has a Masters Degree in Education and completed his National Board Certification last year.
He is currently restoring a blue 1984 Jeep at home and plans to drive it in the homecoming parade.
Noll enjoys rock climbing in his free time. One of his most recent climbs occurred in the Gunks in New York. One of his toughest challenges in the Gunks was climbing the section called High E, short for high elevation.
“I felt like I had to dislocate my shoulder to reach it and pull myself up,” said Noll. “It was an incredibly difficult and very scary, but nothing worth doing is easy and it is a memory that I will carry proudly for the rest of my life.”
Noll hopes to go to Seneca Rocks in Virginia this weekend to expand his climbing experience.
Noll also enjoys watching football and is an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan.
