The first official sneak peek to Euphoria Season three has finally dropped, and it’s everything fans thought it would be and more.
The premiere episode of the long awaited season comes out this year on April 12, a full four years after the premiere of the show’s second season.
The new storyline will be following a five year time jump since the last episode of season two.
From the trailer, there are several new plot points revealed, and some which are following up on controversial cliff hangers from last season that left viewers theorizing, like Rue’s intense situation between her family and Laurie.
Here’s a quick summary of plot pieces found in the new trailer, but it’s recommended to watch the full trailer yourself so you can see all the little moments as well.
Jules’ new mysterious life: Jules is seen in a high-end penthouse, and Rue questions her means of income. Rue and Jules rekindle their friendship slightly in the trailer and are seen with each other, so in this season we should be expecting their relationship to be explored again.
Rue’s past catching up to her after trying to escape: If you remember from last season, Rue got herself caught up with the wrong crowd, but we never got to see how it ended. From the trailer, Rue’s past troubles catch up to her while she’s trying to build herself a humble new life south of the border. Maddy and Rue are also shown speaking to each other, luckily meaning they eventually found their way back to each other.
Cassie and Nate married, Trouble in paradise: Nate and Cassie are shown tying the knot, which is surprising because of how volatile their relationship was in the second season. Unsurprisingly, it’s revealed that already their marriage is very tumultuous and they don’t see eye to eye at all. This should lead to some juicy drama and secrets revealed revolving around Nate and Cassie.
Nate all bloody and beat?!: For a brief moment in the trailer, we’re shown a shocking, violent image of Nate Jacobs lying on the floor in a tuxedo with his face beaten and bloody, which is also a parallel to the very first episode of the second season, where Nate is beaten by Fez on New Years.
Maddy living lavishly: Maddy is seen dressed in luxurious pieces and looking like a mature business woman, which potentially means she’s found immense success after high school, but perhaps not in an entirely ethical way. Fortunately, we don’t have to guess much longer and we can soon find out the real reasons behind all these changes among the characters’ lives.
Overall, there are so many exciting moments in this new trailer that it’s almost impossible for the new season to be anything but an action-packed and drama filled masterpiece of young adult television. Thankfully, there’s not too long to wait until we get to see how all our favorite characters’ lives are gonna play out on screen.
Finally, the devoted viewers of Euphoria will get the answers to all their questions that the hit HBO show left us with all the way back in 2022.
