The program has seen success in helping freshmen and new students adjust to the new high school environment in the past.  This year, some changes will be made in order to help improve the program.

“This year, we are working to keep track of the mentors to hold them more accountable for meeting with their freshmen,” senior executive mentor Jack Nicol said.

The mentors will meet with their assigned freshmen during gym classes on Sept. 19 and Sept. 20.  Freshmen should look forward to getting acquainted with their junior or senior mentors who they will be building a relationship with throughout the year.

“Our goal for the program this year is to provide leaders to the freshmen for support,” Nicol said.

There are three mentor training sessions today during school at 9:00 am., 9:45 am., and 10:30 am.
