Club Fair 2021-2022 Information

Interested in joining a club this year? Not sure what you’re interested in? Join The South Lakes Club Fair on Wednesday, October 6, 2021, in the main hallway during all lunches. Come and check out many clubs that SLHS has to offer this year. Clubs are a good opportunity to build communication skills, generate interest, increase membership and leadership skills. Also, they are a great opportunity to make new friends with similar interests. There are over twenty different clubs and a variety of choices at the club fair to choose from as well as many that are not featured in the Club Fair. Here are some clubs with an overview description included:

 Gender Sexuality Alliance Club:

Looking for a fun and inclusive club? The Gender Sexuality Alliance Club is a club for people of all genders and sexualtities to come together, hang out and discuss issues relating to the LGBTQIIA+ community. The meetings are held weekly on Wednesdays. Meetings typically last around 30 minutes. Contact Alexandra Cleveland, aacleveland@fcps.edu if you have any questions.

International Club:

Interested in learning about new cultures?  International Club is perfect if you’re trying to meet new people from around the world and learn about their traditions  . The most entertaining and exciting part about this club is that they celebrate various holidays from around the world. Meetings are held weekly on Wednesdays. Interact Club:

Need service hours? Interact Club is an organization that creates service opportunities and projects for students. Help make a difference in our community, and make our school a better place. Model United Nations Club:

Love to debate, speak upon your opinion? You will be able to act, debate, and speak about history and politics in the Model United Nations club. You will also be able to go to fun conferences and get to visit different high schools and colleges. Meetings are held bi-weekly on Wednesdays, beginning at around 3:00. Psychology Club

Interested in how the brain works? In the Psychology club, they discuss topics to gain a better understanding of applied psychology concepts in a fun and exciting way. You will be able to learn about psychology theories. Meetings are held every week on Wednesdays at around 3:05. They usually last around 30 minutes.
