Students from French Honor Society and students in first year French went to the lecture hall on Feb. 2 for a crepes party.
Student required tickets to enter the party, which contained food as well as French rap music which played from a boom box.
Students from the French classes consumed thin pancakes and whipped cream, Nesquik, jams, and Nutella.
“A crepe is a very traditional French dessert very important to the French culture.” French Honor Society sponsor Laura Bachman said.
“It’s very easy to make using ingredients that everyone has,” french teacher Sally Moran said. “It can be rolledand topped with whipped cream.”
The French Honor Society and volunteers hosted the event and supplied the crepes and toppings themselves.
“It’s a way of getting French students together to share the culture and to get others interested in the French honors society.” Bachman said.
Students at the party ate crepes, drank soda, and talked with teachers and friends in both French and English.
President of the society, Anna Szima, plans to hold a crepe sale for students and teachers in the near future.
