Field hockey was defeated by McLean Wednesday night 1-0 in overtime during the semifinal game of Conference 6A playoffs.

In order to play in the semifinal, they beat Washington-Lee in conference playoffs 1-0, with the help from a lone goal by junior Aly McCarty in the first half.

“Just getting to the semi-finals was a huge accomplishment for the program, and regardless of the outcome my team made me proud and played well,” senior captain and midfielder Olivia Wolfe said.

The team now has a season record of nine wins, eight losses and one tie.
